Part 1
Crack! A crowbar came down on the back of my head heavily, slightly caving into my skull. The shocked drowned out the noise of the chaos that surrounded me, like my ears had filled with water. My knees gave way, and my hands clasped the back of my head, as if to stop my brains from pouring out onto the road. I arched my back in, curling over my legs with my elbows resting on my knees as I grinded my teeth and clenched them tightly, sucking in air through my mouth coldly. With my eyes squeezed shut, I thought, turn it off! Turn the pain off. Pain is nothing, it doesn't hurt. Only if I let it, it will make me weaker!
